Board of Trustees
Ngaitai Iwi Authority is governed by a Board of seven Trustees. The Board exercises strategic Governance over NIA and its asset holding companies or subsidiaries. Trustees are elected through election processes generally held at the same time as the Annual General Meeting. The term of office is a maximum of three years with retiring Board members being eligible for re-election.
The Board must maintain the Iwi Register, which currently maintained by the Secretary. At present there are approximately 1800 Iwi members registered, inclusive of tamariki.
The Board encourages Ngaitai Uri to register by completing the registration form on the right hand side of this page, or through Tuhono as we can access those registrations.
